The students at Eagle Valley High School hoped to raise $5,000 to send 7-year-old Scarlett on her wish. By the end of “Wish Week,” the students, teachers and staff had collected enough money to grant several more wishes for local kids who’ve been diagnosed with a critical illness.

When a team of villains captured oncologist Dr. Lauren Akers, only one person could stop them: Super Aiden.
The 7-year-old spent his day fighting bad guys, rescuing people, and putting out an airplane fire. His mom was not surprised by her son’s wish. “He didn’t let cancer beat him,” she said, “He was a hero for real. It makes sense to be doing what we’re doing for him.”

After years of watching the celebration on television, Jennifer wished to go to New York City for New Year’s Eve. She received a behind-the-scenes tour for the event, including a close-up look at the Times Square Ball. The teen and her family took a side trip to The National September 11 Memorial and Museum, which was solemnly emotional. “Even though my hand is frozen,” Jennifer said, “it’s been good.”

“He wanted a chicken coop,” Sawyer’s mother Shelley laughed. “You know, a lot of kids go to Disneyland and go swim with the dolphins and stuff, but he wanted a chicken coop mansion.”
With the help of area volunteers and local donations, Sawyer received a place to keep his chickens safe – a place he can enjoy forever.

As soon as Anna spotted mermaids on the beach, she ran to greet them.
The mermaids took Anna to the pool at the Boca Raton Beach Club and taught her how to swim like a mermaid. After learning the basics, Anna became a "mermaid newscaster" and had the opportunity to interview the mermaids.
